Exhibition ArtLab is situated in Melbourne CBD, and is open by appointment only.

The main focus of Exhibition ArtLab is Botanical art.

ロリスstarted her career as a qualified art teacher, instructing primary school children in art and craft for seven years in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. With the start of her family, ロリス  made a significant career change by commencing further studies in information technology. The following forty five years saw her artistic skills fall dormant as she focused on strategy and management of IT in large organisations.

At the commencement of retirement,  ロリス was frustrated by Covid lockdowns and the restricted opportunities to start new relationships and new projects. She eventually found the perfect activity that combines her interest in art and biology: botanical art. Although never having tried water colour painting, the excellent art tutors at the Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne provide expert tuition and encouragement.

Now ロリス is trying to apply those skills and to manage the number of possible illustrations that she identifies while walking through the marvellous gardens of Melbourne. At every turn, a fresh way of seeing helps her to imagine potential compositions for future projects.

ロリス also wanted to give back to the community of Melbourne. She is actively involved with the Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne and provides one-on-one art & craft workshops to individuals who have unique needs.
